At United Way of the Blue Mountains, we are committed to fostering healthy, thriving communities by addressing the essential needs of individuals and families. Access to food, shelter, and critical resources is fundamental to overall well-being, and through our targeted programs and grant funding, we work to strengthen the health and stability of our region.
Emergency Food and Shelter Program
Federal funds are made available in Walla Walla and Umatilla Counties to supplement emergency food and shelter programs through the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program (EFSP). The amount available is determined by a National Board chaired by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's FEMA Agency and includes representatives from national nonprofit organizations. Qualifying local organizations are urged to apply.
Meeting our Neighbors' Basic Needs
Together, we can ensure all of our families have a stable place to call home, food to eat and the support they need in times of crisis and providing the supportive services they need to stay stable and avoid a future crisis.
Community Partners
Thanks to the support of businesses and individuals like you, United Way of the Blue Mountains is proud to support local and regional partners.
