My name is Aldo Feria, and I’m a College and Career Readiness Advisor (CCRA) at Walla Walla High School. In this role, I have the privilege of supporting our students in preparing for life after high school by providing individualized guidance on college and career planning. Additionally, I help students and families navigate university/college applications, financial aid, scholarships, and career pathways. My goal is to empower all students to make informed decisions about their future.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Walla Walla, and I’m a proud first-generation college student. In high school, I was once that student who struggled with the college application process and figuring out how to pay for my education. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, nor did I know where I wanted to go. However, I had a strong desire to better myself as an individual and give back to my community; a feeling that ultimately brought me back to Wa-Hi to work with our students.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked at Whitman College in a variety of roles, including Admission Officer, Cultural Coordinator, and ARAC Tutor. My experiences have strengthened my passion for working with students and deepened my commitment to education and beyond.

Me llamo Aldo Feria y soy Asesor de Preparación para la Universidad y la Carrera Profesional (CCRA en inglés) en la Preparatoria Walla Walla. En este puesto, tengo el privilegio de apoyar a nuestros estudiantes en su preparación para la vida después de la preparatoria, brindándoles orientación individualizada sobre la planificación universitaria y profesional. Además, ayudó a estudiantes y familias a gestionar las solicitudes de ingreso a la universidad, la ayuda financiera, las becas y las trayectorias profesionales. Mi objetivo es empoderar a todos los estudiantes para que tomen decisiones informadas sobre su futuro.
En lo personal, nací y crecí en Walla Walla, y soy un orgulloso estudiante universitario de primera generación. En la preparatoria, fui uno de esos estudiantes que luchaban con el proceso de solicitud de ingreso a la universidad y con la idea de pagar mis estudios. No sabía qué quería hacer ni adónde ir. Sin embargo, tenía un fuerte deseo de superarme como persona y contribuir a mi comunidad; un sentimiento que finalmente me trajo de vuelta a Wa-Hi para trabajar con nuestros estudiantes.
En los últimos años, he trabajado en Whitman College en diversos puestos, como Oficial de Admisiones, Coordinador Cultural y Tutor de ARAC. Mis experiencias han fortalecido mi pasión por trabajar con estudiantes y profundizado mi compromiso con la educación y más allá.
