Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
A love for reading starts early, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library helps make that possible by providing FREE books to children from birth to age five. Families can enroll their children in this program at no cost, receiving high-quality, age-appropriate books delivered directly to their homes each month. This initiative helps improve literacy rates and prepares young learners for success in school. Through our partnership, hundreds of children in our region are developing strong literacy skills and a passion for learning.
Adopt-a-Student Program
Many students face challenges that extend beyond the classroom, from lacking basic school supplies to needing proper clothing and essential resources. The Adopt-a-Student program ensures that these students have what they need to focus on their education. School districts work with United Way to identify students in need, and through the generosity of donors and businesses, we fulfill those needs. Whether it’s a backpack filled with supplies, a new pair of shoes, or assistance with extracurricular fees, this program removes obstacles so students can succeed.
Elevate Initiative
Educational success requires a community-wide effort, and the Elevate Initiative serves as a backbone for collective action. Elevate strengthens the education pipeline by increasing access to STEAM education, supporting FAFSA and WASFA completion, amplifying student and parent voices, and expanding literacy and student support programs. This initiative works in partnership with schools, businesses, and community organizations to create lasting change, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential from early learning through career readiness.
