Hello! My name is Andy Wilson, and I’m a College and Career Readiness Advisor for Walla Walla High School, Lincoln High School, and the Opportunity program. In this role, I have the privilege of supporting students and their families as they explore a wide range of post-secondary pathways, including apprenticeships, military service, trade programs, two- and four-year colleges, and universities.
I am a bilingual father of three bilingual children and spent over 10 years living and working abroad in Spain, the Dominican Republic, and Cambodia. I grew up in Palo Alto, California, and was educated at Henry M. Gunn High School, Foothill Community College, Vassar College, and New York University, where I received my Masters in Public Affairs (MPA).
I worked as a Community Reinvestment Officer for Fuji Bank in New York City; I ran the prestigious Coro Fellows Program for Leadership in Public Affairs in NYC; and, I worked six years in Santo Domingo as an International Baccalaureate teacher of Theory of Knowledge and World History. I am relatively new to Walla Walla and served the last year and a half as the Community in Schools advocate for Edison Elementary and I am on the board of directors for the Walla Walla Immigrant Rights Coalition (WWIRC).

¡Hola! Me llamo Andy Wilson y soy asesor de preparación universitaria y profesional en las escuelas preparatorias Walla Walla High School y Lincoln High School, y en el programa Opportunity. En este puesto, tengo el privilegio de apoyar a estudiantes y sus familias en su exploración de diversas opciones de educación superior, como prácticas profesionales, servicio militar, programas de formación profesional, universidades de dos y cuatro años.
Soy padre bilingüe de tres hijos bilingües y pasé más de 10 años viviendo y trabajando en el extranjero, en España, República Dominicana y Camboya. Crecí en Palo Alto, California, y estudié en la escuela preparatoria Henry M. Gunn, Foothill Community College, Vassar College y la Universidad de Nueva York, donde obtuve mi maestría en Asuntos Públicos (MPA).
Trabajé como responsable de reinversión comunitaria para Fuji Bank en la ciudad de Nueva York; dirigí el prestigioso programa Coro Fellows para el liderazgo en Asuntos Públicos en Nueva York; y trabajé durante seis años en Santo Domingo como profesor de Bachillerato Internacional de Teoría del Conocimiento e Historia Universal. Soy relativamente nuevo en Walla Walla y serví durante el último año y medio como defensor de la Comunidad en las Escuelas de la Escuela Primaria Edison y soy miembro de la junta directiva de la Coalición por los Derechos de los Inmigrantes de Walla Walla (WWIRC).
